It's just a shade before noon and out my office window I see the first direct evidence that there is, indeed,
still a sun. It's lighting up the clouds over the mountain range to the southwest and casting a wan light over the smattering of snow and brown grass below and the Lego-block rooftops of Garðabær beyond. Iceland in December is surely not for everyone, but the beauty is all still there if one only knows where to look.
Hey..
SvaraEyðaI could have sworn that I saw you at the Saga Restaurant on 12.12 at about 9 PM. Was that you or a clone?
I got to see the sun last week for a little while as we went to the zoo and the rest of downtown.
What was startling was the melding of the Pagan and Lutheran holiday Traditions.
Do you have any information about the really big funeral service at Halgrims on Friday 7.12?
Pamm
I wonder the same here in Canada in these winter days. Strangely though we in southern Ontario have no snow, yet had it once in October of all things.
SvaraEyðaI don`t know anything about Iceland and am enjoying seeing a bit about it here :)
Merry Christmas!
